Zulkarnain Sadali. I'm nineteen but I tend to forget so I unknowingly tell people I'm eighteen. Ridiculous, I know. I'm a rockstar in between the sets, no eyeliner and cigarettes. Life is magical, but its not so fantastic. Oh.
A student in Temasek Polytechnic's IIT School, majoring in Interactive Media Informatics, (IMI) with intentions of making it in the Media industry, a far cry from anything in IT. But I'm open to its possibilities.
I like to leave a little mystery in everything I type, and certain times I do not like to be obvious. I rather speak in tounges and cryptically because that's how I roll. But I always stand by my beliefs.
Just like Hannah Montana, I get the best of both worlds. I like fun but I don't mix anything together. Except when socialising though. Anything goes.
I'm a good boy, most of the times. Of course I shan't deny. I can be a real devil.
I repeat, I stand by my beliefs. If you don't like it, then you should put a red X on it.

Girl Needed The Toilet
Sunday, November 09, 2008
9:22 pm
SYDNEY - Scary looking, the questionable star, Disturbia hit maker, Rihanna was singing (yes, singing is the thing she is questionable about) on stage with boyfriend, Chris Brown, when she started to clutch her stomach. Somehow, she passed out. Or so we think. While it looked like girl couldn't "handle the heat", some are speculating (and by some, I mean me) that she's preggers with a Lil BrownAnna (that's a baby, thanks) but I don't think so.
Others are saying the girl just needed...
The toilet.
While many praised God for stopping her from singing, many have expressed concerns, "You shouldn't say that, something bad might have happened to her," but left many still sure that it was a publicity stunt.
While the Good Girl Gone Bad star was standing at the front of the stage, barely moving (well that's what she does at every show anyway), and barely singing (well, that's what she does at every show anyway), she started feeling the pain, got on the side of the stage and it appears as though she left the stage, leaving Chris Breezy alone, rocking it solo.
Reports (the real ones, anyway) say that she was starting to feel the heat of the place. Well, when you're a star under all those hot beaming lights, what do you expect right? She was wearing a superbly tight corset and let's just say, breathing was hard.
She's NOT pregnant. I just want to believe she had a little something new to eat down under and was hit with diarrhoea. That's the best story I heard EVER about a star leaving the stage.
Random: If it was Beyonce and she had diarrhoea, you know she would dance on stage leaving squirts of shit behind. Beyonce's a diva! She ain't leaving the stage till its the end of the last song!
While Rihanna is coming to our shores as a part of her Good Girl Gone Bad tour and performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on the 13th this month, let's hope she doens't eat some belacan or the chilli crab... Or any Malay/Indian food. If she did, girl, just stay in your hotel room.
The toilet's cleaner there for sure.
Rihanna, Good Girl Gone Bad Live In Singapore, 13th November 2008 Thursday, 8PM. Tickets are on sale now, at S$225, S$185, S$150, S$125, S$95.
If Mummy loves me enough to risk my hearing, she might buy for me the cheapest tickets. Enjoy the free promotion on my blog, Rihanna! Well, she ain't a good girl gone bad, she was a badass from the first day!
Peep the video of her passing out/leaving the stage because she felt giddy/stomach ache from being pregnant/the heat/eating wrong foods. So many slashes, so many stories. What to believe?
Sing-a-long. Yes, I performed this last yaer. It was awesome.
I wish my readers, friends and family a Selamat Hari Raya! If I have accidentally said or done anything that might have offended you, please do forgive me. Throw away the old, and in with the new.
Yes, even yours truly is starting a fresh with some people.
MTV VMAs 2008!
Monday, September 08, 2008
10:58 am
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Sunday night (or Monday morning our time) was the night to go crazy over! It was the MTV Video Music Awards 2008, with host Russel Brand!
I was lucky enough to watch the show LIVE and direct, other than MTV Asia's crappy "same day telecast excuse." I say lucky, because I watched only after Pink's performance.
Britney opened the show. No, she didn't really opened the show, but it was nice to see Britney well, and everybody rooting for her! She looks so amazing but peep the video. She says...
"...the anniverSITY or the VMAs." (Click here if you can't see the video)
She's so adorable. Britney IS back, y'all! After years of getting nominated and never winning an award, Britney brings home 3 awards for Piece Of Me, Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and the most coveted award yet, Video of the Year!
Although I do have to say that The Ting Tings' Shut Up and Let Me Go should have won the latter category, Britney deserves it because the Piece Of Me was the glimmer of hope that Britney would recover.
Ahh! On with the show!
Rihanna was first to perform with Disturbia, the song that I don't like, but is still stuck in my head. LOL, particularly, the "Bum bum dee bum bum" part, but whatever. Her performance was, in my honest opinion, explosive. Her voice... Not so much. Peep the video. (Click here if you can't see it.)
She still sounds like a mess, but the dancers and her stage presence is on point! I loved her entrance, the use of the florescent lights and many would agree, this is definitely the second coming of Michael Jackson's Thriller, with a little bit more attitude.
Next up was Jonas Brothers. And I shan't waste anymore time on them. Click here if you care.
Lil' Wayne performed what I call a "Collaboration of the Year," well, at least for the VMAs. He performed with Leona Lewis and T-Pain, a medley of songs, Please Don't Let Me Be MisUnderstood, A Mill and (correct me if I'm wrong,) Can't Believe It.
Leona Lewis looked amazing and her singing skills were impeccable! Lil' Wayne also took the classic song and added his rap on it and it fits so perfectly. His rap could be a little bit more better with diction, but I get the overall concept.
I still don't get it why he can't wear his pants properly and not let his pants drop and exposing most of his ass. Oh, crotch grabber much? Next time, please don't scream over Leona's beautiful voice. LOL.
Next up was Pink, and it's been years since I saw her perfom. She performed her new single, So What. Yeah, so what, right? Nah I'm kidding. Respect goes to her for giving a traditional rock performance but also having that whole little musical feeling of walking around and showing the world her Rockstar attitude.
She looks hella sexy too! The blue trench coat and then dropping it off, yeah. Peep the video. (Click here if you can't see it.)
Next up, was a medley by T.I. which featured Rihanna, yet again. Wasn't feeling it too much, so here's the link to watch the performance. T.I. freaking sampled that stupid Chicken Little song. Numa numa yea. Yeah, that song.
Christina Aguilera was up next, and she too performed a medley of her songs. She "reinvented" Genie In A Bottle and sang her new song, Keeps Gettin' Better. Unfortunately, it wasn't getting any better at all.
Her reinvention of her classic was a mess and her new song was alright but somehow I need to listen to it ten more times before actually liking it. And yeah, she looks like Lady Gaga in Storm (from X-men) suit.
Given the circumstances, she is such a better perfomer now. And if you didn't know, she just gave birth last January! Peep the video! (Click here if you can't see it.)
But I really did wish she performed Genie the original way. It had more appeal and honestly, sexier. HAHA. This one... She looked like she was trying too hard. Loved the performance of Keeps Gettin' Better though. The briefcase and office look the dancers had was a nice touch.
Again, given the circumstances, she performs better with the baby outside her womb. She improved a lot since I saw her live last year.
Kid Rock performed All Summer Long with Lil' Wayne. Watch it here, if you want.
Kanye West closed the show with his new song, Love Lockdown from his new album due end of this year. (Click here if you can't see the video)
I have mixed feelings about this performance. I kinda like the song, but the performance was more of a light show than an actual concert show, you know. Though... The light effects are AMAZING. Whatever, he's coming to Singapore soon, hopefully I can go watch him then. :D
REUPDATE! REUPDATE! PARAMORE PERFORMED TOO! J'YEAH! (Click here if you can't see the video)
To be honest, I didn't know Paramore could rock out like that! I LOVE THEM NOW. UH-MAY-ZING. This is their first ever VMA performance and how could I have missed it! Hayley rocked the stage with Misery Business. Oh the guitar break was madness.
So is it the best VMA show ever? Not really. It's the most creative though, in a sense, it was held at Paramount Studios instead of an actual Arena or Concert Theatres so that gave them a lot of room to hold new types of stage and design. Britney's bomb which was last year's VMA at Las Vegas - yeah, THAT was the worst VMA ever.
The MTV Video Music Awards 2008 will premiere in Singapore on Starhub Channel 20 tonight at 9.30 pm.
Comment questions: 1) Rihanna's performance, good or bad? 2) What was your favourite performance? 3) Should Britney actually perform this year? 4) Do you agree that Christina looks like Lady Gaga? 5) Kanye's light show. Love it or hate it?
PCD IN TWO DAYS! :D And I'm totally having PANIC AT THE DISCO, ALICIA KEYS and THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS on repeat to hype myself up!
Comment questions of the day... 1) Are you going to SINGFEST '08? 2) Who are you excited most? 3) Are you going on Sat/Sun/Both? 4) SHARE THE EXCITEMENT!

9:40 pm
Jiade, an old friend from the Singapore Idol days, was talking to me and he invited me to join Sgfriends.net. Apparently it's this site for bloggers. While contemplating on whether to join, Jiade said certain things that I was (honestly) quite taken aback.
"ur blog post is so top blogger feel. just like ice angel and xiaxue."
I was honestly flattered. I've never read Ice Angel's blog but when I went to her blog, it was rather good to read. I like bloggers like Ice Angel. Detailed about what she feels yet focused on everything around her. She's not going crazy about herself either, which was rather interesting to know. Also, apparently Ice Angel has been the number one Singaporean Blogger based on Sgfriends.net for God-knows-how-many-million-years! Seriously, kudos!
As for the latter, let's just say I'm not a fan and I don't like her blogging style. Overrated, much?
Regardless, I'm not here to unnecessarily create e-conflicts (LAWL! Can you imagine?) but I mean, when Jiade told me to join, I was open to idea (about joining) but when I started to think deeper into the whole situation, I find that the people currently at the top are not even real bloggers.
(Oh, apparently I do have an account there, I just didn't bother to use it)
I mean, honestly. I don't think anyone gets closer to me when it comes to blogging. I mean, when it comes to blogging, I find myself very passionate about it, rushing home before midnight just to publish so it's not too late. I don't see it in other bloggers. Perhaps, I'm jumping to conclusions but putting a million photos of yourself with the same face and having the same pose is not considered blogging.
Well, to me at least.
I missed the old times when blogging used to be about freedom of expression and talking about things you feel like the whole world should know. Not just about your life, but the people around you that you love or the things that is bugging you and you feel like you need to shake it off and that the only way to do it is via your blog.
Now it's like blogging is a trend, something when you have nothing to do, you want to do it.
It's simply like, "omg! I just took five hundred freaking photos of me drinking ice lemon tea! Let's go update my blog now!"
And instantly (I mean instantly) poof! Photobucket and Blogger.com webspace is wasted on useless images like that. This is your Blogger. Not Friendster. (I'll be waiting for the 897897894561327 comments saying, "WHO FXCKING CARES WHAT YOU SAY, MY BUSINESS ARH WHAT I DO WITH MY WEBSPACE!")
LAWL.
Seriously. And do you readers realise that most bloggers tend to get defensive, like superdefensive when they get comments like, "YOU SUCK!" or "FXCKACOW!" or whatever slandering statements that can be made.
I mean, can't bloggers look back at haters and say, "thanks for coming!" or "hope to see you again soon!" They are so used to hiding (or at least cowed to) whenever attacked. Try something different for a change. Be friendly and don't be so defensive for goodness sake. People leave comments like that because it's either they have nothing to do or they just want to test you.
It happens all the time.
And everywhere I go, I keep reading, "If you find this offensive, please click the X on the top right of your screen." First of all, you can't please everybody and if everybody isn't pleased, all of them will leave your blog. Secondly, if people don't like it, they will automatically leave even without you telling them to click X. Thirdly, what about the Mac users. They don't even have an X on the top right of their screen so does that mean that they can't leave if they're offended?
Look, people are not stupid. If they are offended, they will leave AUTOMATICALLY. And if they are kind enough, they will tell you something polite to perhaps change your perspective on the topic you are talking about.
But bloggers get defensive. When they are told they are wrong, they will say something like, "GET THE FXCK OUT!" or something so humiliating that they could prevent just by saying, "Sorry, error noted."
Or if the topic they are talking about is something of which they are passionate about, they would tend to get very narrow-minded. A blogger would have probably said some stereotypical things but when pointed out by people that he is incorrect to be that way, he'll react and scream, "FXCK YOU! MY BLOG MY SAY!"
Then why have a blog?
If you're not open to any comments or any suggestions for that matter, then don't get a blog! What's the use of getting a blog if you're not going to listen to your readers and open your mind about what they have to say? Just because it's your blog, you're king? Face it, without your readers, you won't even be blogging.
It's the logic.
You put yourself on a pedestal, expect haters to leave hate-tag. You get a blog and get expressive, no matter how good it may sound in your head, there will be people who will find it offensive. And please.
Blogging used to be something special. Now it's like a cheapo version of Straits Times Classified Ads but this time people are advertising themselves for that number one spot. Please give way to real bloggers like Ice Angel for that number one spot?
And I don't think I should join Sgfriends.net. I don't want to chase people around to get more visitors. If they like what they read on my blog, they can spread it via word of mouth or they can link me (do inform me, I'll link you back too). And as much as I would love to be the number one blogger, I'm not going to waste time to constantly advertise my blog and myself.
And I'm not joinging Sgfriends.net to compete with mediocre bloggers. It's like Umbrella beating Irreplaceable on the Hot 100 countdown. We all know Irreplaceable has a deeper meaning and a catchy tune. Umbrella just had the latter. (I might have liked the song, but try to understand this metaphor. LAWL!) I've been taught that the talented worry about mediocrity. That's why I'm staying far away so I know that I'm not a part of them.
Oh well, who knows. I might change my mind about joining Sgfriends.net. The only time I'll do that (is probably) is when I lose a trillion kilograms in a year and take man-slutty photos of my hot new body which hasn't arrived yet, putting up 641568974561278945621 pictures.
I think that's the only way I can get to number one. Yeah.
Random: I hate bloggers who call themselves photographers/love photography when all they do is camwhore and have never taken a still life nor a conceptual photo before.
Oh, drift away from the topic.
I did something right today. I saved $30 on a couple of V-necks. :) I'm being a smart shopper. "Diva-on-a-dime giler babi". HAHA
I am ecstatic. I can somewhat write in Jawi/Arabic! Wohoo! Fatin helped me out with the second line, but the first line I did it all by myself.
(by the way, the doodle does have a hidden message, but I just can't tell you yet. LAWL. It's evident that the words are obvious.)
Can anyone tell what it is?
And you want one? If you don't know how to write or read but want to pimp up your MSN nicknames with Arab/Jawi, get it here. It's amazing, apparently.
Anyway, the first day of Ramadan was rather smooth. Apparently my stomach never went on a strike and you know what? I'm doing fine. People were asking me, "Zul, what is oompa loompa?" Obviously it is no reference to Willy Wonka but I just used the word to censor the words, "Sexual thoughts and etcetera". I admit. Restraining hunger is easier than sexual thoughts but hey, it's only for one month.
The thoughts keep coming and hitting me like torrential rain, however I just recite some prayers and I'm okay. LAWL. I can't believe I'm actually digressing about thoughts. Still, because of the prayers I was able to concentrate on my Art paper earlier this morning.
For my Math paper 1, it was direct, however I over think while doing the paper. I confess, when the morning started, I was dizzy thus me over thinking.
Art paper... Can anyone say "Zul didn't do anything!" Just one crappy painting. TA - DA!
Oh and I heard there were more tremors today. I say, expect more coming.
It's weird though. People in Singapore are having so much buzz about tremors when we should really be asking how are the people over at Indonesia are doing. I'm not saying we shouldn't be wary of these tremors but I'm sure there's more things to worry about.
Oh talk about digression, let's all pray together so that a tsunami does not happen again, period. Especially to Singapore.
Get your Quran and read, yo! And if you don't know how to read (like me, but I'm on my way) let's learn! It's really surprising to people around me and myself, that I find reading/learning the Quran is fun.
And apparently, I'm addicted to the word "apparently".
note: the doodles may or may not have a hidden message. well, if you want, decipher it, but the answer might not materialise maybe because... it doesn't exist? Whatever, this proves a pictute may or may not say a thousand words.
I was scared to death. I felt it and I didn't know what it was. I felt my chair shake and I looked on the floor, and I was like, "Okay, I'm getting really fat. The chair cannot support me." Then all of a sudden, Sakinah messaged me and she said, "Did you feel the tremor?"
I was dumbfounded. And you know what? I felt it twice! But you know what, when Sak smsed me, I saw my life flashed right before my eyes.
Apparently, the double quake was 7.9 on the Richter scale! It was really long okay. Now I'm nervous.
Very.
On other news, Ramadan is starting tomorrow, and honestly, I really cannot wait for it because I'll be fasting and YAY, and you know what? One month of no bitching, cursing, the oompa loompa and many other things that we used to do.
It's not about starving yourself, but truly a test of self-control, and this year I am going all out. Not skipping of fasting, no cabut-ing and obviously more control for myself, and eventually I'll start improving on my Jawi! WOHOO!
This Ramadan is a new Ramadan and putting all mistakes behind me, I will ensure that this Ramadan, there will a big change in me, if not, I'll upload a video of my little brother slapping my face. Yes, its you Ridhwan, the honour of slapping my face.
I'm going crazy. It's like I still feel the tremor. :S I'm psychologically disturbed, I guess. HAHA.
If you felt the tremors, do drop a tag! It was scary!
So did you hear? Britney's COME BACK performance totally sucked. Honestly quite disappointed. I expected more! I expected magic from Criss Angel as there have been reports of Brit working together, but... I don't know.
Supposedly, her performance was supposed to be full of mirrors, and Britney was going to fly (without strings) and actually do a disappearing act on stage, with the help of Criss Angel of course, but reportedly, MTV rejected the idea, saying it was "too much" and the stage isn't "big enough" to support all that.
What crap.
It's a long story, but TRY to enjoy the performance. Britney, if you need a second come back, just do it. But please, we all miss your amazing VMA performances like I'm A Slave For You and that kiss with Madonna.
Bring the showmanship back! We miss you, Brit!
Sarah Silverman can suck ass. No wonder Brit looked so flustered. Sarah made fun of Britney's children and Britney actually threaten to NOT perform minutes before the show started if Sarah were to make fun of her kids. But Sarah just did anyway. If Sarah was the reason that Brit's energy was so low during the performance, I'll kill her.
Seriously.
It seems like people are really against Britney's come back, but Brit, I still love ya, so bring on the heat when you come drop your album, aite!
Do comment on the performance. If it's Britney bitch, bring the Spears back. Maybe that is what that's missing.
(A new unreleased song that leaked from Kelly's My Story: Kelly Rowland scrapped album)
I am really shocked and sadden to see Ms. Kelly faint on stage! I almost cried! She was performing Say My Name and she started to blackout and fainted on stage. Performing at ThisDay concert in Africa and it was due to dehydration that she fainted. I mean, there's the sudden change in climate and temperature for her, right?
Still, she has been getting hate comments all over, saying that it is A) a publicity stunt and B) she's taking drugs. Nowadays, I feel celebrities can't have anything bad happen to them without being judged wrongly. Here's the video though.
I'm glad Kelly is okay now. Okay, I really feel like crying now. :( Well, whatever the reason maybe, this may actually spark interest of people in her album so YAY! Sorry laa, okay. I love Kelly Rowland, don't stop me.
When I meet her again, I'm gonna hug her tightly, and then scream, "HAVE YOU DRANK? I DON'T WANT YOU TO FAINT AGAIN!"
Paris Hilton is going to jail. That's hot... or is it?
It's funny how a celebrity can attract so much attention. Somehow I feel sympathetic towards this rich bitch, I mean, regardless, she's still a human being. A very (sorry to use this word) stupid bitch. I mean, human being. It confuses me that I still care for her knowing that she's notorious for shitting all over everyone.
A judge sentenced Paris to 45 days in county jail Friday for violating her probation (for driving), and that she has up till June 5th to report to prison, or else the 45 days will be changed to 90 days.
The judge, saying "there's no doubt she knew her license had been suspended," ruled that she was in violation of the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.
Mistake 1: She said that when an officer who stopped her in January made her sign a document stating her license was suspended, she thought he was mistaken and did not actually look at the document. Mistake 2: Mintz (Paris' representative) testified that to his knowledge Hilton did not drive during the 30-day period. He said he then advised her that he believed her license was no longer suspended. Mistake 3: She wanted to disregard everything that was said and continue to drive no matter what.
And now she's in jail. So is it REALLY stupidity or a string of mistakes? Or is she in jail because she is a celebrity and that the judge took it too hard? Whatever. She did take the traditional celebrity route of being fashionably late.
Honestly, I really feel sad for her. I wonder how her cell mates are going to treat her. The judge said,
She was then ordered to report to a women's jail in suburban Lynwood by the set date or face 90 days behind bars. The judge's ruling excluded her from paying to serve time in a jail of her choice, as some violators are allowed to do.
So wait, why is she unable to choose a prison of her choice? So is the judge really fair? I think not. Paris would have chosen a pretty much comfortable prison, probably a penthouse in a Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas or New York (that is house arrest) but I can understand why she is not given a choice.
She needs a real wake up call!
She's an heiress, and super rich and have almost everything we all want (and more!) but she can't walk around earth thinking she's a goddess or only having a one-liner every time she sees something, "ooh that's hot!"
However, I am kinda worried about how the people in prison gonna treat her. A few days back I watched a part of the show, Fashion House, and this rich bitch was sent to prison (ooh, deja vu!) and she was asked for 'protection money'. (those who watch Prison Break would know) Protection money is money you pay those big gangsters in jail to 'take care' of you when you're in there with them. It doesn't work in the end, but people pay them money anyway to avoid being beaten up. I'm worried that Paris might face the same thing.
She IS being treated like everyone else for the very first time. Maybe God is showing her the light to wake up and change. Oh proves that God loves everyone. I really hope Paris can learn from all these.
Let's wait for the day she finally anonces when she goes to jail. The article says Paris "must go to jail by June 5th." Until June 5th comes, let's wait for 45 days. Oh and and and, I hope she don't miss the June 5th deadline, or else, 45 days will be changed to 90 days. Ouch. If I was Paris, I'd go to jail right about now.
And for the record, I'm not gonna miss the next deadline for work, that's what. LOL.
For better understanding, click the source to read the full article.
Before starting today's post, I would like to make a clear statement that in total, eight government schools (and not three, lol. that was misleading) got Gold for Drama's SYF. They are as follows.
Anderson Secondary Bedok North Secondary(y'all know already! :P) Bukit View Secondary Dunman High* Orchid Park Secondary Springfield Secondary Tanjong Katong Girls Yisun Secondary * not too sure if they are government, though.
Well, I just watched a show on Discovery Channel and it was sad, actually. It was about this mother, who has never met her son for over 50 years. Why? All because of the stupid conflict over ideology of the North and South Korea.
Honestly. Why do people fight over ideology? It's honestly so... fucked up.
The gist of it is that this woman, who never met her son since he was five years old was seperated because of the war they had back then, about the Korea thing, you guys should have learned about it from your Social Studies textbooks.
The problem is, South Koreans are BANNED from meeting, or speaking to their families on the other side, all because of North Korea's government.
How do they contact each other? Like teenagers, passing notes. However, this time, they do it across a river. Sad right? With all the technology like Email and telephone even, they're not allowed to.
At the end of the show, she said, "I will tell my children that they have happy lives. They will never know what I have to go through. They won't understand."
And it's true. As much as I want to, I can't really understand her pain. Is it true? Pain that we can't understand is due to our lack of experience in life? Or that we're just too damn lucky to have our parents around us to love us?
As a question to teenagers, even for those parents who have divorced and such, did you guys not see your parents, at all? Even though we may have such unluckiness in our lives, is it REALLY comparable to these people who have not even seen their parents for over 50 years. Not because they are taken away by God, but because of conflict in ideology?
This made me think. Do we really deserve to complain about being given less amount of cash? Or do we really deserve to complain just because we are not allowed to go out late at night?
I don't think so. We really don't deserve it. We really shouldn't whine about our shortcomings because honestly, we have a lot already. We have parents that truly love us, that gives us shelter to live under, and even if some of us, whose parents have passed, don't cha have someone that loves and takes care of you just like how parents would?
Honestly speaking, I hate the sentence, "Nobody cares for me - I want to die." That is seriously a fucked up question. God should make it sinful for you to say such sentence because apparently, people don't even really realise it. What they truly need is right in front of their eyes and they don't even see it.
I'm not being hypocritical about it. I realise I too have these flaws. You better realise it too. Let's all change for the better. Let's all do it.
Thank your parents for the computer that they bought their own money with. Thank your parents for the exam fees (for N, O & A levels) that they pay their own money with. Thank your parents for the paying school fees. Thank your parents for a proper home. Thank your parents for everything good, bad and ugly that happens in your life. Thank your parents for... Loving you.
And to those whose parents have passed, don't fret. Thank the people that have been a parental figure to you.
God might not give you the best things in life, but he will (and most probably) gives you the best things for YOU.
Be thankful. Let's all change for the better. Don't be so moody anymore. Smile and realise what you have is right in front of you.
(EDIT: In total coincidence, check out Hairul's 29th April blog post. It's about being thankful of Friends)
Emo! Emo! Emo! DIE!

A moment of silence while I collect my thoughts into one jumbo piece of blog post. Lately, my thoughts have been messy, unclassified and very very confusing, with the large about on stress from school, people around me and and and... who else but myself, I am concluded that I am, yes indeed, crazy.
On being emo.
I am not emo. I am a person who has a terrible technique of suppressing anger, emotions and yes I do have mood swings. I am not emo extremist because I do not slash myself and making myself look like a complete idiot. If I had to choose a mental illness, it wouldn't be suicidal thoughts. (It will probably be bulimia or something, but I don't have that!)
Last week, there was a horrible picture of this guy with no face on the front page at the the small little corner of the HOME section of The Straits Times, and who was it? Paul Twohill! No, I am not his biggest fan, nor am I a fan, (in contrast to this post), I just liked him. Basically, the whole report was just horrible.
It talked about kids who slash themselves. Ultimate stupidity.
I heard of this chick. She was so in love with this guy that he got with her because she sort of slashed herself on her chest and blood was flowing everywhere on her shirt and out of pity the guy accepted her.
Now, this might be harsh, but people who slash themselves, wrists, wherever, don't matter, should not be given pity. They are just bastards who cannot channel their emotions properly that they think they have to "feel pain" and eventually "be set free" from the madness of the world.
Be set free? Stupid or what? Emos who cut themselves should be sent to Woodbridge because slashing yourself, is a mental condition.
What I notice is that at first, it's a sort of trend. Then slowly, but surely, it becomes a cycle and it triggers the addiction part of the brain and slashing (or self-mutilation, I shall use that from now on) becomes a way to get a daily dose and "be set free", so to speak.
"Zul! Addiction, you say?" Yes I did. It is similar to a person who is addicted to drugs, sex or alcohol. It's the same. You can't live without self-mutilation, but irony of it is, you're gonna die from it too, just like drugs, sex and alcohol.
One thing is different though. You are able to use your own body to mutilate yourself. You (so called) don't need a medium. What do I mean by medium? Okay, sex. You need a partner. Without a partner, no sex. Drinking; you need alcohol. No beer? Too bad. So a sex partner or beer is a medium. But for self-mutilation, they sometimes grow long fingernails and scratch their arms till they bleed and even when it bleeds, they keep on scratching anyways.
The excuse. "I'm stressed, that's why I slash." Lalala... I'm stressed too but I learn how to control it. You got to learn that self-mutilation does not remove the stress away, in fact, it bring unnecessary stress. You're so stressed from school work, so you mutilate yourself. Then your mum sees it. Now it's a whole other story.
Stress is now an excuse. It's no longer something you go through. Really. It's an excuse to get people to shut up when they ask you what is going on in your life. Fact is, it's not gonna chase your problems away. I repeat. Self-mutilation does not eradicate stress. It brings even more stress.
The growing number of emo kids are becoming a concern, because they are getting the concept of being emo wrong. Emo is being angry; being sad; being... Emotional. It's not about hurting yourself. I can't point fingers and say, oh, bands are to blame for it, but they do write songs that say, "watch me bleed" and this is taken literally. It's a metaphor, people. Not a dumbass command!
This is also what I mean by Singaporeans youths getting more stupid as the minutes pass. They make up more excuses. I bet one kid's gonna say this when he is caught mutilating himself.
"The mamak shop at the void deck closed and I'm stressed about it. Now I have to walk all the way to 7-Eleven."
I am worried that the suicide rate of youths will go up. It's possible. It's something we have to eradicate and we can't procrastinate about it. We got to do it now.
My opinion of a real emo, is listed as follows; being angry, sad and emotional. Not hurting yourself. It's a whole different meaning and the misconception of emo is making it seem that this concept is wrong. I don't believe in a concept being wrong until their message is received the wrong way. It's a whole ice block of confusion but long story short, people get the idea of emo wrong. That is what I mean by emo extremist, take it the wrong way and they get up all in your face about it.
picture courtesy of FourFour (one of my fav blogs, btw)
I was reading through FourFour and came across this post, and I too was wondering why YouTube logged me out knowing mine would be logged in whenever I access YouTube. So I tried going back and this is what happened.
I AM PISSED.
Because at YouTube, I uploaded personal videos. Videos of Amber's Birthday, National Day 2006 and a lot of other things. If YouTube wanted me to delete my Destiny's Child videos I had on there, just tell me to delete it laa! Haiyah.
I re-registered as mdzulkar9 and shall only use this damn YouTube account for personal videos. I'm just very pissed my first account got deleted. Argh.
YouTube used to be a place whereby you can watch shows and concerts that will never come to Singapore. A place to watch music videos waaaaaaaay before MTVAsia premieres it. I found out that some of my online friends from overseas had their accounts deleted after uploading such videos. I really find this change a huge hassle. I think the trend of deleting accounts started right after Google took over YouTube.
Well whatever, I now have my YouTube account. That's gotta mean something right? AHHH FUCK IT. I lost all my Favourited videos. *puts on very pissed face*.

After two years, Singapore has won YET AGAIN! I'm so happy! Singapore soccer has got what it takes! With a lot more training, insyaAllah we'll get to the World Cup? Yeah! I thank my mom for strategically placed the computer next to the television years ago. Thanks mummy!
Now, I was screaming like a lost goat in the Sahara desert. Like seriously. LOL.
Now this was Khairul Amri's goal that saved us. YAY!
With that, Singapore WON! YAY!
This proved that the boys are major camwhores. You could see them posing like those guys on Friendster. Either way, they deserved it. They won it like fuck man!
And here's a fun fact I totally didn't know this! With Singapore winning this, they are now on the same level as Thailand! GO SINGAPORE!!!
Most Valuable Player & The Golden Boot Award. WOW!
Here's some hot shots. LOL. Boys kissing... or jumping on each other like no-one's business.
All in all, the boys did great and they won the match FAIR AND SQUARE. No penalties, no hissy fits. They rocked the field.
Guess who won Thailand?
SINGAPORE, BABY! This is like the best match, ever!
Oh, stay away from this guy. Such a sore loser. Thailand's number 7. You suck man! So much for sportsmanship! YOU HAVE NONE!
GOOOOOOOOOOOSINGAPORE!!!!!!
