Ms. Montana... Who?

5:57 pm
I was on my way out of my house when Derek talked to me. We were talking about kids and a lot of nonsensical chatter. We were talking about our future, and where we are now, and I told him that I wanted kids in the future, mainly because my MSN nick showed, "I want to get married."
He laughed at that thought. Thanks.
Oh but I digress.
The nonsensical chatter went on, but knowing me, Derek called me out...
Of course, don't let 3 seconds of our conversation be the judgement for Derek. He's not the only one that doesn't know Ms. Montana. Of course, Derek's overwhelmed and said that...
And I stopped from then on screen capturing. But this was just pure gold. HAH. @ him thinking HSM sounds dirty. I never thought of that.
As the new year for the Chinese growls in, or should I say MOOs in (since it would be the year of the Ox), a new television show that I personally think will be a huge hit in Singapore is Live 'n' Loaded.
The hour-long show is a platform for local bands and artists to have their musical talents be seen across the country by the watchful eyes. Honestly, I'm excited to see the kind of raw talent that has been less apparent these days.
After the end of Live The Dream and Singapore Idol, Channel 5 never really had anything I could look forward to, but Live 'n' Loaded is something I would watch. Without shows like these, the likes of Hady and Taufik are not discovered, at least not on a nationwide level.
Promotional tours at the polytechnics, radio and television, MediaCrap/Corp is making sure you tune in.
I am a supporter of local music. Such local acts like The Great Spy Experiment and Electrico have proved that it is possible (though not easy) to make it in the almost extinct music scene in Singapore. Even so, are they really THAT successful?
Who am I to say? I am a consumer of music but look around. Ask someone on the street about The Great Spy Experiment. They'd think it is a conspiracy by the Bush administration.
Think about it.
Where are all the P.Ramlees, or the next generation of Dick Lee? And can they find someone fresh and new to take over the job of Gurmit Singh as host? They're gone. Or at least we think they're gone.
I think it's because of Singapore's rush to develop that made all the thriving art and culture to disappear. We are a nation full of creative and artistic kids but we all aim to have that accounting job or that CEO position. Nobody wants to live their dreams.
Or at least, nobody dares to.
Everyone is so scared to 'earn less' doing something they love and they want to do something safe. Why?
While you can answer yourself this question, with a million excuses and plausible answers, think about this.
While you are unwilling to live your dream, or even if your dream is not to be on stage, why are you not supportive of your fellow people when they dare to live their dreams?
Support local music, art and talent. And by support, I don't mean pay. By support, I mean,
"Do you bother to even pay them any attention?"
Please do not believe myths that local music, art and talent are nothing but junk. They're really awesome.
Comment questions 1) Are you a supporter of local music? 2) Are you willing to pay for local music? 3) Recommend ways for local talents to get a headstart. 4) Are you living YOUR dream, or do you intend to? 5) What are your plans for your future?
SUPPORT LOCAL TALENT!
Tune in to LIVE 'n' LOADED, Tuesday, 27th January 2009, 8.30 pm
note: sadly, this message was NOT PAID by MediaCrap. I just support local music.
First of all, I would like to apologise the delay in updating about my Heroes season premiere party last Friday, 31st October 2008, hosted by StarHub and Star World. It was really an awesome night for my bestest best friend forever (or BBFF), Hairul and I. There were free food, villainous cheerleaders, silly tattoo airbrushing and an opportunity to... "Be A Villain."
Which was awesome because it was also Halloween that day!
HALLOWEEN IS A GOOD REASON TO LOOK FUGLY AND BE OKAY WITH IT. :D (so there better be no, "you look fugly" comments. ESPECIALLY COMING FROM YOU, LUQMAN. or else no GarageBand stuff.)
OH AND GUESS MY CHARACTER AND WHO I WAS DRESSED UP AS. MUAHAHHAAHHAHAHA.
There were makeup artists there to give us a quick makeover though Hairul opted for the tattoo instead. It looks nice, no?
Somehow he looks a lot like Peter Petrelli. HAHA
Hairul had a chance to take photos with these scary cheerleaders. I swear they look too scary. What happened to spirit and ra-ra?
Okay guess, which Heroes character was I? (yes, my hair is a mess.)
So Heroes 3 has finally hit our shores, well, for most of you all, it will premiere on your television screen tomorrow. I won't give too much away, but why I can tell you is that the cheerleader must learn to save herself.
Season 3 promises to be the best season (just like how Obama will be the best US president yet) but unknowingly to many viewers, season 3 will be divided to two volumes, Volumes 3: Villians, and Volume 4: Fugitives.
Volume 3 started with a sneak peek at the end of season 2, with Sylar saying, "I'm BAAAAAAACK", reminiscent of a horror movie as he recovers after injecting himself with Claire's blood. (Claire can recover.) Kinda makes me wonder, with Sylar getting Claire's blood, is he infected with HIV/AIDS?
We were treated to two episodes and it was amazing. One of the highlight was the revealation of who killed Nathan Petrelli at the end of Season 2. Who did it? One clue: Someone close to him. Really close. Though I have to say it was predictable, it was quite unexpected as well. Contradiction, I know.
If you actually saw the adverts/promo shots on Star World recently, you would've seen Claire (with black hair) holding a gun, and saying, "I always loved you, Peter." Oooh, it's as good as The Hills or Gossip Girl.
And one more clue from the future episodes that I can say... Sylar will learn to control his hunger for more "knowledge" and someone will gain his knowledge, with the inability to control it. Also, Claire becomes more independent, but will she regret it?
Niki Sanders died towards the end of Season 2... Or did she?
Love lives strong in the future of mind reader, Matt Parkman with a new character that's introduced in Villians. Before that, he ends up in the middle of Africa, meeting Usutu, the African version of Issac Mandez (the painter that can paint the future) and well, let's just say, it gets pretty exhausting.
Friendship is one the line as Hiro travel to the future and sees his best friend, Ando... Well, let's just say, electric ABU-GEN* and... Hiro being electrocuted to death. *you know, like Street Fighter? When Ryu attacks and some special power comes out from his hands... MUAHAHHA.
Hiro will have a new nemesis, Angela Petrelli has a surprise for everyone, someone who was not able to die will actually die and more importantly...
IS THERE A VILLIAN WHO IS WORST THAN SYLAR?
Villians promises a lot of twists, and especially the question. Will your hero be a villian and will your most hated villian be a hero?
There will be another company. PineHearst, aside from The Company.
The question is, which side will you choose? Or better yet, whose side will you choose?
Heroes Volume 3: Villains
will premiere tomorrow night,
Thursdays 10PM
on Star World, Starhub channel 18!
Oh and on a random note, Suresh (the Indian professor) gets really irritating in Villains and I swear, because of him one of my favourite girls is off to another country, running away from him. (and to add even more disappointment, cute little Micah is gone)
And on another note...
BARACK OBAMA IS OFFICIALY THE 44TH US PRESIDENT!
Oh happy day! Oh happy day! He will start official presidential work on 21st January 2009 before Bush ends his eight-year term. Good riddance!
GO OBAMA!
thanks Lin, RippleVox, Starhub and Star World for the wonderful night! :D ---------------- Now playing: Beyoncé - Video Phone via FoxyTunes
MTV VMAs 2008!
Monday, September 08, 2008
10:58 am
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Sunday night (or Monday morning our time) was the night to go crazy over! It was the MTV Video Music Awards 2008, with host Russel Brand!
I was lucky enough to watch the show LIVE and direct, other than MTV Asia's crappy "same day telecast excuse." I say lucky, because I watched only after Pink's performance.
Britney opened the show. No, she didn't really opened the show, but it was nice to see Britney well, and everybody rooting for her! She looks so amazing but peep the video. She says...
"...the anniverSITY or the VMAs." (Click here if you can't see the video)
She's so adorable. Britney IS back, y'all! After years of getting nominated and never winning an award, Britney brings home 3 awards for Piece Of Me, Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and the most coveted award yet, Video of the Year!
Although I do have to say that The Ting Tings' Shut Up and Let Me Go should have won the latter category, Britney deserves it because the Piece Of Me was the glimmer of hope that Britney would recover.
Ahh! On with the show!
Rihanna was first to perform with Disturbia, the song that I don't like, but is still stuck in my head. LOL, particularly, the "Bum bum dee bum bum" part, but whatever. Her performance was, in my honest opinion, explosive. Her voice... Not so much. Peep the video. (Click here if you can't see it.)
She still sounds like a mess, but the dancers and her stage presence is on point! I loved her entrance, the use of the florescent lights and many would agree, this is definitely the second coming of Michael Jackson's Thriller, with a little bit more attitude.
Next up was Jonas Brothers. And I shan't waste anymore time on them. Click here if you care.
Lil' Wayne performed what I call a "Collaboration of the Year," well, at least for the VMAs. He performed with Leona Lewis and T-Pain, a medley of songs, Please Don't Let Me Be MisUnderstood, A Mill and (correct me if I'm wrong,) Can't Believe It.
Leona Lewis looked amazing and her singing skills were impeccable! Lil' Wayne also took the classic song and added his rap on it and it fits so perfectly. His rap could be a little bit more better with diction, but I get the overall concept.
I still don't get it why he can't wear his pants properly and not let his pants drop and exposing most of his ass. Oh, crotch grabber much? Next time, please don't scream over Leona's beautiful voice. LOL.
Next up was Pink, and it's been years since I saw her perfom. She performed her new single, So What. Yeah, so what, right? Nah I'm kidding. Respect goes to her for giving a traditional rock performance but also having that whole little musical feeling of walking around and showing the world her Rockstar attitude.
She looks hella sexy too! The blue trench coat and then dropping it off, yeah. Peep the video. (Click here if you can't see it.)
Next up, was a medley by T.I. which featured Rihanna, yet again. Wasn't feeling it too much, so here's the link to watch the performance. T.I. freaking sampled that stupid Chicken Little song. Numa numa yea. Yeah, that song.
Christina Aguilera was up next, and she too performed a medley of her songs. She "reinvented" Genie In A Bottle and sang her new song, Keeps Gettin' Better. Unfortunately, it wasn't getting any better at all.
Her reinvention of her classic was a mess and her new song was alright but somehow I need to listen to it ten more times before actually liking it. And yeah, she looks like Lady Gaga in Storm (from X-men) suit.
Given the circumstances, she is such a better perfomer now. And if you didn't know, she just gave birth last January! Peep the video! (Click here if you can't see it.)
But I really did wish she performed Genie the original way. It had more appeal and honestly, sexier. HAHA. This one... She looked like she was trying too hard. Loved the performance of Keeps Gettin' Better though. The briefcase and office look the dancers had was a nice touch.
Again, given the circumstances, she performs better with the baby outside her womb. She improved a lot since I saw her live last year.
Kid Rock performed All Summer Long with Lil' Wayne. Watch it here, if you want.
Kanye West closed the show with his new song, Love Lockdown from his new album due end of this year. (Click here if you can't see the video)
I have mixed feelings about this performance. I kinda like the song, but the performance was more of a light show than an actual concert show, you know. Though... The light effects are AMAZING. Whatever, he's coming to Singapore soon, hopefully I can go watch him then. :D
REUPDATE! REUPDATE! PARAMORE PERFORMED TOO! J'YEAH! (Click here if you can't see the video)
To be honest, I didn't know Paramore could rock out like that! I LOVE THEM NOW. UH-MAY-ZING. This is their first ever VMA performance and how could I have missed it! Hayley rocked the stage with Misery Business. Oh the guitar break was madness.
So is it the best VMA show ever? Not really. It's the most creative though, in a sense, it was held at Paramount Studios instead of an actual Arena or Concert Theatres so that gave them a lot of room to hold new types of stage and design. Britney's bomb which was last year's VMA at Las Vegas - yeah, THAT was the worst VMA ever.
The MTV Video Music Awards 2008 will premiere in Singapore on Starhub Channel 20 tonight at 9.30 pm.
Comment questions: 1) Rihanna's performance, good or bad? 2) What was your favourite performance? 3) Should Britney actually perform this year? 4) Do you agree that Christina looks like Lady Gaga? 5) Kanye's light show. Love it or hate it?

Unfortunately, Beyonce did not win any from the three categories that she was nominated for. For Favourite Female she lost to Rihanna, Favourite Pop to Fergie and Favourite Album lost to Justin Timberlake. I could understand why she lost the first two (Rihanna really boomed this year and Fergie's album was madness) but the latter, Justin is the one I couldn't get. For someone who over used the word 'sex' in his album, he proves that sex really does sell.
Alls well that ends well, Beyonce did clinch the BIGGEST award of the night!
BEST INTERNATIONAL ARTISTE!
Which is actually an honour because it's not the fans that voted in but this award is based on the achievement, the stage presence and the music quality produced by the winner. Judging by B'day, the re-release with 12 videos and a killer tour with an upcoming DVD, it is no wonder Beyonce is the winner for this year! She is also the FIRST FEMALE EVER to win this honour!
I cried okay, watching her giving the winning speech! The whole scene was touching. After showing the tribute video of how much Beyonce has accomplished with and without Destiny's Child, Usher said, "With gifts as big and generous as nature, a voice that touches hearts all over the world and a smile that can light up an entire stadium, she is something rare and special. In the world of Divas and Superstars, there is only one Beyonce."
As Usher said that, the whole place got quiet with the occasional screams of 'YEAH!' Then when Usher was done, in a split second, the whole crowd roared as Beyonce hugged her father, crying. She got a standing ovation from everybody, from the likes of Nicole Scherzinger who couldn't stop clapping and Rihanna, giving that shocked reaction with her hands on her face.
When Beyonce got on stage to take her award from Usher he was like, "Oh no, bitch, I'm not done with this yet!" and then slightly pushing Beyonce's hand away. I guess Usher wanted to be the first female to win the award but Beyonce got it first. :)
Beyonce's speech was ever so touching, and I got so affected when she thanked her fans all over the world! "I'm so blessed to wake up every morning and do what I love, I don't take it for granted. I'm so grateful, I'm so honoured, I'm so humbled by this award." I melted. :)
Beyonce is so cute to have freaked out right after the speech and she started getting Crazy in Love with the camera. She has the right to be excited; she won and shat on everyone else who beat her on the other categories. HAHA.
Sugarland, a country music group, performed Beyonce's Irreplaceable and then introduced Beyonce on stage to perform with them. It was expected that Beyonce would perform with them but it wasn't expected that they would perform Irreplaceable. This isn't Beyonce Overload. This is Irreplaceable Overload! Last year at the AMAs, Beyonce performed Irreplacable too. Talk about too much, I've never used the word irreplaceable so many times before!
It was nice though, to hear Irreplaceable go country. Beyonce, take notes and rerecord this song and then do a re-re-release of B'day.
Other highlights were performances by Nicole Scherzinger (of the PCD), Fergie, Alicia Keys and Rihanna. Yes, I typed out Rihanna, I can see that. And as I don't really like most male RnB performers well, actually just Chris Brown, I superlatively hate to the highest degree.
Nicole was on fire! Well, at least I thought she was. She came on stage, in a split second, demanded attention with the curry puff on her head. She came on stage with high energy but by the next five seconds or so, she started to grunt like nobody's business and by then she lost her breath. She started moving around on stage so weirdly, like little grasshoppers and then Will. I. Am., came on stage as the featuring act.
Nicole and Will.I.Am. couldn't keep their hands off each other. Are they together? I don't know. I can sense that Will.I.Am. is in a way a support system for her on stage because Nicole's voice was cracking so much! It just felt so weird as Nicole, whom usually I call the powerhouse from PCD, had her voice cracked so many times. "You're my every, every thing" and by then her voice cracked, she started to talk, to salvage the situation. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE NICOLE, but her voice cracked so much, it became hurtful to even watch the video again.
I don't know, maybe she got into the song so much, that she got emotional and had block nose? I don't know. She also seemed like she's crying in the end because her voice cracked so much. I love Nicole but I think she got acid reflux or something. She really needs to review her voice. Something is wrong somewhere.
Fergie was amazing, simply amazing on stage. Will.I.Am. (again) was on stage first. Fergie performed a medley of Fergalicious and Clumsy, which is a good combination, but again, like Nicole, she came on stage high on energy, but then she started to do the Robot moves and seem to put all her energy in that. The verse she sang, it was as though she was trying to catch her breath, but she did better after that.
Fergie too, grunt her way through the bridge. It wasn't that bad, she caught her breath and came into Clumsy. She started talking and said that she wanted to bring us to way back when she was in high school, falling in love with the wrong boys. Um. Okay. Overall her performance was amazing, but when it came into the chorus, "You got me trippin'", her Oh's sounded... You know.
Alicia Key's performance was a surprise for me! I thought it would be another, "Let's just sit down in front of the piano and sing, hoping it would be a hit", like she always does. But with No One, I knew it was a bit different, it had that Reggae-feel and what better way to perform the song with the top Reggae artistes such as Junior Reid, Beenie Man, and Chaka Demus & Pliers! (I have no idea who they are but they performed with Alicia, that's good enough for me!)
For this performance Alicia actually danced, something so rare! I admit she was good, but not amazing. Well, at least she can carry herself and follow counting quite well. I'm not a superhardcore fan for her but Alicia was the best for the night! She brought the house down with the Reggae medley and I was entertained! She still need to improve her dancing if she want to include that for her next tour though.
Rihanna just looks scary. Even worst upclose. And what's that on her? A ketupat is it? Nonetheless, the theatrics were good. She opened her performance with Umbrella and it was accompanied by a symphonic orchestra and when the curtains behind her were raised, it showed a triangular shaped staircase which really is interesting. I knew Ne-Yo was gonna pop out somewhere considering Hate That I Love You is booming in the US.
I find the performance enjoyable, sing-able but still funny. I thought Rihanna and Ne-Yo would play catching (or tag) with the stairs but it came down to just serious singing. Which is funny when you think Rihanna is seriously singing. But she did her thing and she did great here.
I've never realised this but Ne-Yo is SHORT. He had to be one step above Rihanna in order to appear as tall as she did. Oh well, Rihanna have those killer legs anyway.
Another thing that was funny to me was that instead of expressing forbidden love through out the performance, they just gave that 'best friend' feeling which is a bit off, if you ask me. Rihanna gave fake nudges and smiles and it really felt awkward to watch. Even the pose on the picture above feels wrong for some reason.
The AMAs this year was a good one. Click here to see the list of winners. The idiots didn't list Beyonce though. Damn. Will.I.Am performed thrice tonight. Two performances supporting Nicole and Fergie. The third was by himself. Will.I.Am - Heartbreaker
On a random note, Beyonce wore this one of a kind shoe.
“Closed Front Cage Sandals With Ankle Pads” from the Fall ‘07 line by Balenciaga and it costs over USD$4175! That shit is crazy. Only Beyonce can rock em. I know for a fact. LAWL!
Mimpi Manis is so complex yet so intriguing, over-complicating matters and making the show stretches from one problem to another. It stirs emotion, from anger, to happiness, to sadness all in one hour. Predictable yet unknowingly surprising. Lilis' naivety is such a dear yet a torment to the audience. This is a show better than Desperate Housewives.
Lilis (played by Dewi Perssik) is an aspiring Dangdut singer and through her daily life, she goes through a lot of problems (100 problems per episode, if you ask me) and falls in love with Aldi, (I'm not sure of the guy's name, tried googling it but can't seem to find, tell me if you know) and then meets up with this music producer, Fardji (don't kill me if the name is spelt wrongly). Fardji has done a lot for Lilis, for her music career and many other deed he has done. Yet no matter what he does, Lilis is still in love with Aldi. Eventually Lilis gives in to his good deeds and end up marrying Fardji.
Or so it seems. The most anti-climatic part was when she woke up from the dream of marrying Fardji. Lilis ends up doing what the fans of the show wanted and married Aldi.
Apparently, in the mid-season (or so), Lilis got raped (correct me on this one) and when Lilis was pregnant, it was said that the baby was not Aldi's. He left her. Selfish bastard.
So move on to season two, I don't know, I skipped so many episodes, but what I watched today was (correct me if I'm wrong) episodes 63 and 64. Lilis was with Fardji. (they weren't married, no) but what I know is that the child that Lilis gave birth to wasn't a rapist's. Technically, Lilis' first child (unknown father, duh, rapist) apparently was aborted. Or proabably the sperm wasn't strong enough and Lilis' child is actually Aldi's.
Lilis's child, Desi, is so similar you can call say they are almost the same person!
And they are! Apparently, Dewi plays both mother and child in season two. Its quite amazing and her acting skills are really put to the test. Watching both characters in the same scene; it was easy to differentiate between the two.
Season two revolves more about family problems rather than person problems of Lilis. Desi also has problems with her rival, Bitch. (I really don't know her name and yah, she is a bitch) who actually turns out to be a half-sister! When Aldi left Lilis for another woman, Bigger-Bitch (I really don't know, but yah, mother and daughter, both bitches!) right after Lilis got raped.
Bitch was really jealous of Desi. Desi had the talent, the super hot boyfriend, Tora (and yah, I can certify he is super hotness. Very indie laa. I loike. LAWL!) and Bitch would find anyway to bring Desi down. Bitch had a lot of power at the campus (apparently it's a university but judging at how they juggle their problems, it's u-never-study) and when she slit herself, the whole school made a big hullabaloo and blamed innocent Desi.
This happened after Aldi found out that Desi was his daughter and not some random criminal. Lilis was still pretty much in love with Aldi and decided that the whole family reconcile. Lilis' mother and Desi, together with Aldi, Bigger-bitch and Bitch, all under one roof. Actually, Bigger-bitch wanted to leave, but it was due to Lilis' naivety that Bigger-bitch stayed. Lilis wanted everyone to be one family.
Quite weird, but who cares.
Worst was when Desi was drugged with some sort of white substance in her drink and she fainted in the toilet, after which, Bitch's friends stripped Desi and left her. In an attempt to help his girlfriend, the very hot Tora went in to give his shirt, (she was in the cubicle), and the headmaster strategically planned by Bitch, walked in.
Unknowingly, Tora is actually Fardji's son! (Complicated, right? It is from his first marriage) and Aldi, being the father of Desi, disallowed her to have Tora as a boyfriend. He thinks that Tora was like his dad, with the old cunning ways but when Fardji approached Aldi, he said, "You have not changed one bit. You are still selfish! I know we had problems last time, but don't let our children suffer!"
Desi was always told by Aldi not to be in contact with Tora (who wouldn't?). Desi went on saying, "Oh, so NOW you want to be the father, huh? When my mum and I were suffering back then, where were you? Where was the father then? Don't try to act like you are my father. You have never been there for us, so why should I even call you my dad?!"
And this is when my dad and I started an argument.
He kept saying, "kids shouldn't talk back to their parents that way!"
I retorted, "hey, if the dad wasn't there for the child, he/she has every right to be angry"
He came out with his dictator ways but all in all, it was for the fun of it.
As we watched the show, he kept imitating Lilis dancing and we all just laughed at his craziness.
Still, I'm loving every second of this show. Best believe, I'm gonna start recording every episode. And guess what? I found the second version for the slow version of Mimpi Manis. Made me cry laa, seriously.
I couldn't keep it a secret anymore. I honestly think that Aliff Aziz is a true talent to hit our shores. I don't like to support cute-miut people with no talent. Well, that's what I thought of Aliff when I first saw him.
I thought he was just a guy with a cute face, trying his luck at the music industry.
WRONG!
He is superlatively talented! I mean, I can't even kid at how much talent this guy has in his 180 metre high body of his. Indeed, he has a lot of stage presence and demands the attention of the audience. No matter how many times I watch his performance (Sedang Ingin Bercinta, above) I keep wanting more because that's how good he is on stage! (Plus the fact that he performed one of my favourite songs.)
You have to agree when I say Aliff is the best performer of the night. Even Hyrul (not BBFF, but last year's winner) couldn't top Aliff's performance, and Hyrul looks totally GHEY during his performance. I'm NOT hating on him but taking off that brooch off his shoulder would gain him some points. And WTF were they thinking getting his male dancers into an S&M suit? Hyrul, as advice, you should really practice more dancing, then you'd be on point.
I still can't let go of the fact that Suria actually flash the SMS results way before the show ended. It's a business strategy though, to get people to realise that their idols scored low and who scored high. Despite this strategy, Nurun went down down down.
Nonetheless, I have to give Roslan kudos for giving himself a chance at stardom again, after he was let go at last year's Singapore Idol. He got to the finals and I think he proved that he has a place in Singapore's Malay music industry (if there is still one.)
Need I say more that I also think Maiya is talented? She can really sing well, pull notes very well, and I really really really hope she will be able to drop an album. I'd love to support that girl when that happens.
As I watched the rerun, all I can say was that Roslan's hug with Aliff was rather half-hearted, no? I mean, I could see from his face that he wanted to win it really bad. He is on TV to win for the second time, but I believe in Roslan's talents. I think if he work hard, he can go further.
However, as time pass and we go on with life, I still think Aliff will be the one to continue on to be a real star, work on Channel 5 too and go on with regional (and eventually international) success. That kid is younger than me and he has talent what I think is equivalent to Taufik Batisah.
One thing still bothers me though. How can a totally young guy, talk with such a high pitch voice but belt out such a melodious deep voice like that?
He'd better stay grounded with all this fame. I still shiver at the fact that a guy around my age could win something so big. He's an inspiration to all of us that we too can succeed.
On a random note, (*edit) Hussein is a yummy screw. He reminds me of Pete Wentz. (Okay, thanks for correcting me, Indera! :) )
It's really sad, the number of hot girls there were just so low. (I have such high expectations, LOL) Who is she? Someone fill me in! LOL.
CONGRATULATIONS ALIFF. Seriously dude, you desereved it.
It rocks that I have cable TV but it sucks because Mummy didn't subscribe to all channels because it's really pricey. I scrolled through the mosaic function of the new set-top box and I realised HBO has Charlie and The Chocolate Factory on! Previously I wanted to watch this at the cinemas but something came up so I missed my chance. But how do I watch the show? I don't even have the channel!
Just watch it on the mosaic of course! And that is what I've been doing since 7 pm! I know, the mosaic is kinda small, even for the new TV Mummy bought, but who cares! The movie is awesome, and I'm enjoying it as I type!
The kids in the movie are dumb asses! They deserve their fate! And could you believe that there was only one Oompa Lumpa? HAHA! I think the Oompa Lumpa had more costume change than anyone in the movie.
If you think its pathetic to watch a show on the mosaic, it's not! If you actually focus to what they are saying, it's actually quite entertaining and I had a great laughs by the ever sarcastic Willy Wonka who is deprived of his childhood.
The whole movie was about family and I have never read the book nor watched the movie so I would have never expect that it was about family, I just thought it was chocolate.
It was fun, even if its only a screen of 5 cm by 7 cm. Just focus on the show. Mosaics are so useful, so fully utilize it's function!

After two years, Singapore has won YET AGAIN! I'm so happy! Singapore soccer has got what it takes! With a lot more training, insyaAllah we'll get to the World Cup? Yeah! I thank my mom for strategically placed the computer next to the television years ago. Thanks mummy!
Now, I was screaming like a lost goat in the Sahara desert. Like seriously. LOL.
Now this was Khairul Amri's goal that saved us. YAY!
With that, Singapore WON! YAY!
This proved that the boys are major camwhores. You could see them posing like those guys on Friendster. Either way, they deserved it. They won it like fuck man!
And here's a fun fact I totally didn't know this! With Singapore winning this, they are now on the same level as Thailand! GO SINGAPORE!!!
Most Valuable Player & The Golden Boot Award. WOW!
Here's some hot shots. LOL. Boys kissing... or jumping on each other like no-one's business.
All in all, the boys did great and they won the match FAIR AND SQUARE. No penalties, no hissy fits. They rocked the field.
Guess who won Thailand?
SINGAPORE, BABY! This is like the best match, ever!
Oh, stay away from this guy. Such a sore loser. Thailand's number 7. You suck man! So much for sportsmanship! YOU HAVE NONE!
GOOOOOOOOOOOSINGAPORE!!!!!!
Note: thanks Ridhwan for some shots. yeah, you're hot. LOL.
